We all have a very strong inner craving for happiness, but instead of looking inside to find that happiness, we are looking outside in external objects. We expect that those objects will make us feel eternally happy, but we quickly realise that everything is changing, and that nothing is permanent. After losing what gave us happiness for a brief moment, we become miserable again. We then try to fill up an uncomfortable feeling of emptiness with all sorts of illusory and temporary pleasures to which we become more and more attach, until it becomes an addiction. If you are curious about addictions or the different practices that can support us to overcome addiction, come and explore many ways in which yoga can help!
