Japa is the repetition of a mantra or divine name. It is a tool that can help you to go deeper into the practices of concentration and meditation, as well as a way of increasing devotion. Discover the many benefits of Japa, learn more about this practice and how to use a Japa Maala. You will also be given the opportunity to choose a mantra and get initiated into this mantra, which is a good aid to strenghten your practice. Come and start experiencing the mysterious power of God’s Name!

Check-in:Check-in is on Friday 3PM. After you arrive, feel free to join the yoga class at 4 PM and dinner at 6 PM.Amenities:Guests have access to all of the ashram facilities, including the temple, wood and infrared saunas, library, swimming pool (summer months only), and outdoor activities.Shuttle Service:We provide a shuttle service from the Sivananda Montreal Centre to the Yoga Camp on Friday evenings that returns to the Centre on Sunday afternoons. Limited seating is available. Please contact reception at yogacampreception@sivananda.org or at 819-322-3226 if you would like to reserve a seat.   • Vendredi:

    3-7 PM: Arrival and Check-in at reception (please arrive before 7:15 PM, as reception will be closed after this time)

    4 PM: Yoga Class

    6 PM: Vegetarian Dinner

    8 PM: Evening Satsang (group meditation followed by sanskrit chanting and a lecture on a subject related to yoga or spirituality)


    5:30 AM: Wake up bell

    6-7:30 AM: Morning Satsang

    8-10 AM: Yoga Class

    10-10:45 AM: Vegetarian Brunch

    10:45-11:45 AM : Karma Yoga (selfless service)

    12-1:00 PM: Workshop

    1 2-3:30 PM: Free time, activity (ex.: walk…), or practical workshop (ex.: asanas, relaxation…)

    4-6 PM: Yoga Class

    6 PM: Vegetarian Dinner

    8 PM: Evening Satsang


    6-7:30 AM: Silent walk

    8-10 AM: Yoga Class

    10-10:45 AM: Vegetarian Brunch

    11 AM: Check out

    12-13:00 PM: Workshop 2


Minakshi is a yoga practitioner and yoga teacher who enjoys sharing her love for yoga and the knowledge she acquired through the practice of yoga.


This program is offered at no additional cost for ashram guests. Donations are welcome and can be placed in donation boxes located at the camp.The cost of accommodation (see below) includes lodging for (Insert amount) nights, all weekend activities (unless otherwise specified), scheduled meals, yoga classes, access to ashram amenities, and satsangs.

There is a $50 fee for cancellations made before the arrival date. Cancellations made on the arrival day or after will be charged one night of accommodation in addition to the cancellation fee. We are unable to offer a refund in the event of a no show.
