Chakra Mandala Workshop
with Mavis Gewant

Sacred Art cultivates inner silence and attunes one with energy and the essence of the divine aspect that is being evoked. This experiential workshop will introduce participants to the imagery of the chakras, psychic energy centers, the stage upon which the interaction between higher consciousness and desire gets played out. Coming from the tantric tradition, these subtle centers of transformation will be experienced through painting and visualization. Mandalas reflect our inner nature that creates sacred circular energy patterns.  By utilizing the Vedic Square, which is by itself an ancient number grid, you can create an infinite amount of shapes and patterns to form a beautiful mandala based on the chakra planetary ruler.  By working with specific colors and mantras, this meditative painting practice will connect us to the deeper energies of the planets and chakras, creating more harmony, peace and energy.

Course Objectives: In this course you will learn:
An overview of the 7 chakras
How to make a mandala using the Vedic Square.  The role of planets, elements and chakras
The role of colors, planets and chakras. Recitation of Chakra Bidj Mantras.
