What to Bring

Ashram Rules
To maintain the purity and spiritual atmosphere of the Ashram, attendance at all satsangs and classes is mandatory. No meat, fish, fowl, eggs, garlic, onions, narcotics, alcohol or cigarettes.

How to Register
Please complete an official registration form obtainable from the your local Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre or Ashram and return it with a passport size photo. We will send you a receipt and confirmation of your reservation. Please remember to sign the form agreeing to the rules and regulations of the Course. The deposit (non-refundable) will secure a place (subject to availability). Full payment is required one month before the course starts.

Fees
The fees include all tuition, accommodation, uniform (two pairs of trousers and two t-shirts), manual and meals. They do not include transport to and from the ashram. Course prices are calculated on the basis of the current rate of the US dollar. The rates at the time of payment in full will be applied. Prices are subject to change without notice.

Refunds
All fees are non-refundable. A student can transfer from one course before the start of that course, to attend another, once only. After this time fees are forfeited.

Accommodation
The accommodation is simple and generally comprises shared rooms of four to six persons. Space is available at all Ashrams for those who wish to bring their own tent. In India dormitory space is for up to twenty-five people, hut space is for up to four people, and kailash is for two people.

Getting There
Students are responsible for making their own way to the Course. Details of how to get there will be sent to you upon registration. Please arrive on the day before the course is scheduled to commence. Departure will be the day after the course finishes. Please do not arrive late or plan to leave early. You may wish to arrive a few days earlier to acclimatise to the new environment or stay longer after the Course has finished. You need to liaise directly with the Ashram to arrange this.
