In this workshop we will consider how to read the subtle sensations of the body during asana practice; signs that help us to determine a healthy level of effort and intensity in the practice. We will also look at working through injury, hyper-mobility and pain.
Begin, expand or deepen your knowledge and practice of meditation. Topics in the course include: purpose of meditation; nature of the mind; meditation using a mantra (sound energy, vibration); obstacles to meditation and how to establish a practice.
Learn the basics of yoga from scratch systematically and safely in a small, friendly and relaxed setting with one of our Yoga Courses for Beginners. Or, take a course to renew your practice after some time away or to strengthen the foundation of your existing practice.
Come spend a fun afternoon in our kitchen learning about all the wonderful flavours, colours, nutritional value and fragrances of Indian vegetarian food. Together we’ll prepare a meal of several authentic dishes and conclude with a delicious feast.
Learn age-approrpriate teaching techniques according to the developmental and socio-emotional needs of children and teens – including adapted asanas, breathing exercises, relaxation and visualizations and yoga-based games.
Develop your confidence to offer more effective corrections, assist students having difficulty, and modify the practice where necessary. We’ll also explore when to correct, and when it may be better to leave a student alone.
