An Open Class is a classical hatha yoga session that encompasses proper breathing, flexibility, strength and vitality in the body while calming the mind. An Open Class includes:

  • Initial relaxation (Savasana)
  • Breath exercises (Pranayama: Kapalabhati and Anuloma Viloma)
  • Sun salutation (Surya Namaskar)
  • 12 basic postures (Asanas)
  • Final relaxation (Savasana)

Duration: 90 minutes.
No advance registration.

Note: The Open Class is not suitable for beginners. We suggest taking a Beginners’ Course before attending an Open Class.

advanced-yoga-class-in-torontoAdvanced Class

If you are a seasoned practitioner and want to take on advanced poses, this is the class for you. Poses are held longer and intermediate and advanced variations are also added to challenge both body and mind. As preparation we recommend taking the Beginners Yoga 2 and Intermediate Courses.

Duration: 90 minutes (Fridays) or 2 hours (Saturday and Sunday)
No advance registration.

gentle-yoga-class-sivananda-torontoGentle Class

These classes are suitable for seniors or for anyone looking to take a more gentle approach to their yoga practce. Enjoy the physical, mental and spiritual benefits of a modified, yet still classical, hatha yoga class in a supportive enviornment. No previous yoga experience is needed.

Duration: 90 minutes
No advance registration.
Wednesdays, 3:00 – 4:30 p.m.

Not sure where to start? Join us for a free trial yoga class at our studio. You will be introduced to the 12 most important postures (asanas), basic breathing and relaxation techniques. No previous yoga experience is needed.

Duration: 90 minutes

Sundays, 4:00 – 5:30 p.m.
