Increasingly, students are wishing to incorporate meditation in their daily lives and seeking instruction in how to do so more authentically or traditionally.
In this course you will learn how to teach students the practical aspects of a meditation practice, breathing, how to sit, how to set the proper conditions and environment for practice. We will also cover the introduction of mantras and how they can be used in the practice, as well as teaching practical aspects of yoga philosophy which help the student to frame their practice of meditation and spiritual inquiry.
Weekend Intensive Course:
2 May, Friday 6 – 8 pm
3 May, Saturday 2 – 6 pm
4 May, Sunday 2 – 6 pm
Often, new yoga teachers struggle with how to correct students. In this course you will gain confidence in assisting and correcting students in their asana practice gently, effectively, and with integrity. We will also cover the various reasons for correcting students, how to determine if a correction is required and when it may be better to leave a student alone.
You will have opportunity to experience and practice hands-on corrections as well as explore how “not” to correct! Please join us for this fun and informative course.
