The Sivananda Ashram in Neuville aux bois Congregation recognised by the French government The International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centres are a non profit organization established by Swami Vishnudevananda in 1957 and dedicated to the teaching of Yoga as a life style. The ultimate goal of yoga is inner and outer peace and the realization of unity in diversity.
The ashram has been recognized officially by the French government has a congregation representing the tradition of Yoga Vedanta in France. It is the first Sivananda Ashram in Europe.
It was founded in 2000.

This haven of peace welcome people from all over the world, in search of a healthy life style and a positive vision of life based on the spiritual teachings of Swami Sivananda. Its natural setup is very conducive to the practice of meditation: it it set in the midst of large forests, open space alive with a very rich variety of bird and wild animals. The sunrises and sunsets are magnificents.

The Ashram is located 100 km South of Paris, in Neuville aux Bois, a small town close to Orleans.
It offers yoga retreats all year round Accommodation is in personal tent or in a shared dormitory or a double room. There are a few single rooms. Vegetarian meals are lovingly prepared according to ayurvedic principles to energize body and mind.
