Beginners' Yoga Asana courses are the most thorough introduction for a beginner to the Sivananda tradition, or for anyone looking to renew their practice of hatha yoga. This course provides a complete introduction to yoga, including:

  • Yoga postures (asanas)
  • Breathing exercises (pranayama)
  • Relaxation exercises
  • Introduction to proper diet
  • Introduction to positive thinking and meditation

Courses are taught in small groups . with attention given to each individual student. The 90 minute classes are practical with step-by-step guidance along with an introduction to the philosophy behind the practice of the postures.

1.5 hours/ class
2x per week for 3 weeks
$72 members, $90 non-members

1x per week for 5 weeks
$60 members, $75 non-members
