Anger is one of the most common and most
destructive emotions. Although at times it
can seem to give us a tremendous sense of power, in the long
run it undermines our own and others' happiness. Anger is an energy that
needs a positive channel. We
all need to understand how anger arises and what can be done to redirect
its energy in order to have a happier life and more harmonious relationships.
“He who is able to resist the force of desire and anger even before he quits his body—he is a Yogin, he is a blessed man.” Bhagavad Gita Ch. V-23.
“Those who are free from desire and anger, and who have subdued their minds and realized themselves—around such austere men lies the beatitude of God.” Bhagavad Gita Ch. V-26.
