Meditation 1 & 2

Meditation 1:

A concise introduction to the subject of meditation as a means to attain everlasting peace. Simple and practical techniques are given to guide each student in reaching his/her innate spiritual potential.

 

Topics covered include:

  • concentration and meditation techniques

  • basic yoga philosophy

  • mantra theory and practice

  • Meditation 2:

    Deepen your practice and increase your knowledge by studying advanced meditation techniques. In addition to this, lifestyle changes needed for internal and external purification will be discussed. You will learn how to make your meditation come alive in everyday activities, and how it helps in accelerating your spiritual evolution.

    Both Meditation 1 & 2 are 5-session courses consisting of 90-minute classes, once a week. The textbook for both courses is Meditation and Mantras by Swami Vishnu-devananda.
