Community Wellness Project

Come join us at the Yoga Center two Mondays of each month to experience and learn about a variety of modalities intended to empower you to reclaim your health.  

On the first Monday of each month ...Health Education mornings with California Association of Ayurvedic Medicine (CAAM). Start the day with creative movement, join us for a healthy light breakfast, followed by a lecture and discussion led by a visiting Ayurveda expert. Starts at 9:30am.

Ala Sudol - Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist, M.A., L.M.T.

 

Ala's training in Ayurveda began with the Art of Living courses in 1991 where she learned about Pranayama, meditation, yoga, service, and much more from Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. In 1999, she completed Ayurvedic training at the Academie Bad Antogast in Germany, part of the Art of Living Foundation where she learned Ayurvedic theory and all Ayurvedic therapies. In 2000, she practiced at an Ayurvedic clinic outside Bangalore, India. 

The American Institute of Vedic Studies granted her the title of Ayurvedic Health Educator in 2002. She studied a different modalities of bodywork at the California Healing Arts College, and Anatomy and Physiology at West Los Angeles College. She has completed a training on Panchakarma, Clinical Ayurvedic Practicum, Marma Chikitsa, and Pulse reading course at the Ayurvedic Institute in New Mexico over the period of a few years.

She is a graduate of California College of Ayurveda with the title of Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist. She has been practicing Ayurveda for over a decade using the knowledge she gained studying under the guidance of Ayurvedic experts including Dr. Vasant Lad, Dr. David Frowley, Dr. Mark Helpern, and Dr. Mishra.

Ala Sudol is a professional member of National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA) and California Association of Ayurvedic Medicine (CAAM).

She is  pleased to share what she has learned with others. In her private practice she blends many components of Ayurveda to assist her clients in achieving and maintaining healthy, satisfying, and balanced lives. Ayurveda is a vast subject and she is making this available to all interested in feeling better.
Her goal is to serve all in the truest and best tradition of the essential Ayurvedic teaching to live in radiant good health and harmony of body, mind and spirit.
