Surfing Yogis with Chris Miller
Surfing Into Samādhi:
Rediscovering the Elements in India's Coastal Villages

Earth, water, fire, air, and space. The five great elements (pañcamahābhūtas) provide the fundamental building blocks for everything we experience. In India, these same elements have been well revered, used in ritual, and even have monuments built in their honor. Despite their significance, the onset of globalization in India has caused a noticeable defilement of the elements in the form of ecological devastation.

But as always, there is hope. With only about 150 wave riders (and growing), surfing is a new sport that is raising India's awareness of environmental issues. Come hear how the newly emerging surf tribe is breaking caste boundaries and cleaning up the beach!
