Steps to Follow to Register for a Course

  • Download, print and complete the appropriate application form.
  • Be sure to read the rules and regulations , attach a passport size photo and sign the application form.
  • Once completed scanned forms can be sent to yogaindia@sivananda.org or faxed to: +91.471.227.2093.
  • We will contact you with course availability and payment details for remitting your US$300 deposit and course donation.
  • Please also send the original course application forms by post to:

    or bring forms to the Ashram.

Course Registration

SunsetAdvanced registration is recommended for all training courses and special programs. Admission is on a first come, first served basis. All courses at Sivananda Kutir, Uttarkashi are limited to a maximum number of 30 students. The Fasting and Detoxification program is limited to a maximum of 20 people.

Course pre-requisites

For ATTC and Sadhana Intensive, students should have successfully completed the Sivananda Yoga Teachers Training course. A copy of the TTC certificate should be sent along with the application form. Students attending ATTC or Sadhana Intensive should bring their TTC uniform (T-shirt and white pants).

Translation

Kindly note, the spoken and teaching language is English. International courses with translation are offered on certain Teachers Training Course and Advanced Teachers Training Courses at our Neyyar Dam ashram. Please enquire about the availability of translators before registration if you do not have a good command of both written and spoken English.

Deposit

AratiTo reserve a place on a course, we require a non-refundable deposit of US$300 (US$150 for Sadhana Intensive). Your place will be confirmed once we receive bank clearance. The deposit is included in the total course donation.

To reserve a place for Kids Camp, we require a non-refundable deposit of US$ 300 - for non Indian nationals and Rs 500 for Indian nationals. Payment can be made by credit card (contact us for a credit card remittance form), Demand Draft (in India only), or bank draft. We do not accept direct bank transfer or personal cheques.

Deposits secure a place on the course but do not fix the donation. Dates and donations are subject to change without notice. For all programs guests are subject to the suggested donation in effect at the time of final payment.

In the event of cancellation a student can transfer a course deposit, before the start of that course to another course or course participant once only within a period of one year of the original course.

Payment

Full payment must be made four weeks before course commencement (six weeks for courses in Uttarkashi). Course admission and initiation is only possible after the full course donation has been cleared.

Donations include all tuition, accommodation, uniform (TTC & Kids Camp only), manual and meals. They do not include transport to and from the ashram. Course prices are calculated on the basis of the current rate of the US dollar.

Refunds & Cancellations

BackbendNo refunds will be given, but a credit note may be issued. Credit notes are valid for one year from date of issue and can be used for courses and programs at any of the ISYVC centres or ashrams but cannot be used to purchase boutique items. A student can transfer from one course to attend another course, once only. After this time fees are forfeited.

Students leaving the course before completion are required to return all teaching materials and uniforms.

Arrival & Departure

We recommend you arrive the day before the course starts. The course donation includes accommodation the night before and the night after the course. Should you wish to arrive earlier or leave later than these dates, kindly contact the concerned ashram advising them of your intended dates of arrival and departure. You will be accommodated as a yoga vacation guest where the daily yoga vacation donation rate applies. Yoga vacation guests are expected to follow the full ashram daily schedule.

Check-in time is after 2 pm, check-out before 11 am.

Foreigners should ensure they have a valid passport and tourist visa to cover the period of their stay Students leaving the course before completion are required to return all their teaching materials and uniforms.

The ashram reserves the right of admission. To maintain the spiritual atmosphere we ask all ashram guests to comply with the ashram rules and respect the local culture. Failure to comply may result in students being asked to leave.
