How to Register

Application for TTC/ATTC

The above links will bring you to a full list of TTC / ATTC courses. Find the course for which you wish to register and click the "Apply" button for the on-line application form.

If the button indicates "Course Full" instead of "Apply" please check periodically for places becoming available as cancellations do arise.

Once you submit the completed on-line application, you will be taken to the on-line payment window for full payment by credit card. Once you submit the credit card details, you will be provided with an automatic receipt for registration and payment. Your application is now complete. You will also receive an e-mail from yogaindia@sivananda.org confirming your registration and providing additional information.

Forms are in PDF or MS Word format. For *.pdf forms you will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader, which you can download free from Adobe. For *.doc forms, you need to have MS Word. If you do not have a copy MS Word, you can get a free copy of OpenOffice.org here.

Course Registration

Sunset Admission is on a first come, first served basis. Dormitory spaces at Neyyar Dam and Madurai are sufficient to leave booking until a month before the course. More advanced registration is recommended for all twin share room requirements, for all courses at Sivananda Kutir, Uttarkashi (32 places only) and for the Fasting and Detoxification program, Neyyar Dam (20 places only).

ATTC & Sadhana Intensive Course Pre-requisites

For ATTC and Sadhana Intensive, students should have successfully completed the Sivananda Yoga Teachers Training course. A copy of the TTC certificate should be sent along with the application form. Students attending ATTC or Sadhana Intensive should bring their TTC uniform (T-shirt and white pants).

Translation

Kindly note, the spoken and teaching language is English. International courses with translation are offered on certain Teachers Training Course and Advanced Teachers Training Courses at our Neyyar Dam ashram. Please enquire about the availability of translators before registration if you do not have a good command of both written and spoken English.

Kids Camp Deposit

Arati To reserve a place for Kids Camp, we require a non-refundable deposit of US$ 300 - for non Indian nationals and Rs 500 for Indian nationals. Payment can be made by credit card (contact us for a credit card remittance form), Demand Draft (in India only), or bank draft. We do not accept direct bank transfer or personal cheques.

Payment

Course admission and initiation is only possible after full course donation has been cleared.

Dates and donations are subject to change without notice. For all programs guests are subject to the suggested donation in effect at the time of full payment.

Donations include all tuition, accommodation, uniform (TTC & Kids Camp only), manual and meals. They do not include transport to and from the ashram. Course prices are calculated on the basis of the current rate of the US dollar.

Cancellation Policy

In the case of cancellation of a course or departure within the first half of a course, any unused amount may be transferred to another course in India (excluding Vrindavan courses) or in Canada. The alternative course should be within one year of the original course start date. Alternatively a credit note may be issued valid for one year from original course start date. This may be used in India or Canada at any of the ISYVC centres or ashrams for courses and programs but not for boutique items or for other services such as Ayurveda massage. Transfer of credit / credit note to another person is not possible without advance permission.

Students leaving the course before completion are required to return all teaching materials and uniforms.

Arrival & Departure

BackbendWe recommend you arrive the day before the course starts. The course donation includes accommodation the night before and the night after the course. Should you wish to arrive earlier or leave later than these dates, kindly contact the concerned ashram advising them of your intended dates of arrival and departure. You will be accommodated as a yoga vacation guest where the daily yoga vacation donation rate applies. Yoga vacation guests are expected to follow the full ashram daily schedule.

Check-in time is after 2 pm, check-out before 11 am.

Passport/Visa

Foreigners should ensure they have a valid passport and visa to cover the period of their stay.

Please note, a recent immigration rule by the Indian government came into effect, and there should be a period of at least two months between visits, after the last visit to India, before returning on a Tourist Visa.
