How to Start: Yoga 1 and Yoga 2
Yoga 1 - Beginners
If you are new to Yoga or to the Sivananda method, we suggest that you start with our beginners course - a systematic introduction to the theory and practice of Yoga, emphasizing proper exercise, proper breathing, relaxation and concentration techniques. Register in advance and come for classes with empty stomach and a large towel or a yoga mat.
Course duration: The course consists of 12 classes (90 min. each) on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday over 3 weeks. Weekend courses run for 6 weeks on Saturday and Sunday.
Course donations: Members Rs 900, Non-members Rs 1200, including 7 free open classes and a copy of Sivananda Training Manual
NB: Two or more members of same family registering same time (even if for different batches) may avail of Rs 200 discount per head, but not in addition to student discounts.

Yoga 2 Intermediate
An opportunity to systematically work on improving the basics especially the headstand; also holding postures a little longer with simple variations, and exploring some alternative postures which fit with Swamiji's basic class system.
Course duration: 8 classes (90 min. each) - 4 weeks (Tue & Thur - for 4 weeks)
Course donation: Members Rs 550, Non-members Rs 800
For those attending yoga 2, valid Open class cards will be extended by 8 days.
