| Open | This 90-minute standard class, open to all, meets at our teaching annex at 1207 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. The class includes pranayama (breathing exercises); a regular series of asanas, including sun salutations; and relaxation. Students are advised to take a beginners' course before attending an open class. Not suitable for complete beginners. |
| Beginner/Gentle | This 90-minute class, which meets at our teaching annex at 1207 W. Bryn Mawr Ave., follows the basic open-class format but with a gentler and slower approach specially geared to students who are new to Yoga and those who are taking or have taken our Beginner course part 1 and do not yet feel ready to join the open classes. |
| Advanced | In this 2-hour class, which meets at our teaching annex at 1207 W. Bryn Mawr Ave., the postures are held longer, and some variations of the basic asanas are practiced. We recommend taking the Beginner course part 2 as preparation. |
Group meditation |
Group meditation, or satsang, is a gathering for spiritual practice and includes guided silent meditation (30 minutes), devotional chanting of Sanskrit mantras (around 30 minutes), a talk or reading on a spiritual topic, and prayers for peace. It is held at 1246 W. Bryn Mawr Ave., all are welcome, and there is no charge for attendance. |
